Travel Discounts & Referral Codes for My Favorite Travel Apps

Score discounts or perks on transportation, hotels, and even earn bonus credit card points.

These are the platforms I personally use to book rides, hotels, and earn travel rewards. And they all come with referral perks! If you haven’t tried them yet, use my links below to get discounts or extra points for your next trip.

P.S. These are NOT affiliate links. I don’t get paid to share these, but I might get a small discount if you use the service. Every link on this page comes from tools I genuinely use in my travels, nothing is sponsored or random.

Transportation

These are my go-to apps for getting around in new cities.

*PRO TIP – Download both Uber and Lyft to compare prices and wait times before booking.*

Uber logo

Uber

Get 50% OFF your first 2 rides

Uber is one of the most reliable ride share apps, operating in over 15,000 cities worldwide. I’ve used it everywhere from Austin to Athens. Sign up with my referral link to get the discount.

Lyft logo

Lyft

Get 50% OFF 1 ride

Lyft is another ride share app that primarily operates in the U.S., Canada, and select parts of Europe. I often find it slightly cheaper than Uber, especially in major U.S. cities. Sign up with my referral link to get the discount.

Riders Share Logo

Riders Share

Get $50 OFF your first motorcycle rental

Riders Share is the Airbnb of motorcycle rentals. You’ll get more variety in bikes, lower prices than rental companies like EagleRider or Harley Davidson, and you’ll meet local hosts. I’ve used them twice in Hawaii and loved it. Sign up with my referral link to get the discount.

Hotels & Accommodations

This booking platform has saved me hundreds on hotels, especially when I’m booking last minute or spontaneous trips.

HotelTonight logo

Hotel Tonight

Use promo code KTHOEN to get 20% back after your first booking

Hotel Tonight offers discounted last-minute hotel bookings. I’ve scored luxury stays in multiple cities for a fraction of the cost. Just note: you can’t pick your room type (1 King bed vs 2 Queens), and all bookings are non-refundable. To redeem, sign up then go to Account > Promo Code > Redeem.

Travel Credit Cards

These are the travel credit cards I personally carry to earn rewards that I redeem for flights, hotels, and upgrades. Always review the terms, spending requirements, and annual fees before applying to make sure each card is a good fit for you.

Chase Bank logo

Chase Sapphire Card

Apply through my link and earn 125,000 bonus points with Sapphire Reserve® or 75,000 bonus points with Sapphire Preferred®. Terms apply.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred was the first real “travel card” I opened, and it’s still in my wallet today. Between flexible transfer partners and the high earning potential on travel and dining, it’s been the cornerstone of my rewards strategy.

American Express logo

American Express Green Card

Apply through my link and earn 40,000 Membership Rewards® points. Terms apply.

I added this card to compliment my Chase Sapphire since Amex partners with some airlines and hotel groups that Chase doesn’t, giving me more flexibility with my points. I also love the perks like a free CLEAR membership.

FAQs

What are referral links?
Referral links let both of us earn perks when you sign up or make a purchase through one of my trusted partners. These aren’t affiliate links — I don’t earn a cash commission if you use them. Instead, I might receive a small credit, discount, or travel perk within the same app.

In fact, once you create your own account, you’ll get your own referral links to share with friends and earn the same benefits! It’s a win-win for travelers helping other travelers save a little extra.

Are these offers and platforms available internationally?
Most of them are! I’ve used Uber and HotelTonight across the U.S. and internationally. If you aren’t a U.S. resident, you may not be eligible to apply for the credit cards though.

Do I have to be a new user?
Usually, yes. Most discounts apply to first-time users or new accounts.
